Jouw uitdagingen

  • Analyze Cloud consumption and identify cost optimization opportunities;
  • Deliver Cloud cost and optimization reporting and billing information through visualizations;
  • Drive cost reduction and removal of Cloud waste as Cloud;
  • Optimize TCO information by delivering high quality Azure tag data in compliance with standards;
  • Collaborate with solution owners and technical team on forecast, right buy and cost proposals.

Dit neem jij mee

  • Bachelor + total 10 years of experience needed, of which:
  • 3 or more years’ experience with cloud cost management for Microsoft Azure within an global enterprise scale environment
  • Experience with IT financial and FinOps models and cost management processes and methodologies such as FinOps.
  • Working experience with Apptio Cloudability and TBM studio
  • Experience in change management, needed to fully educate and mature international colleagues and their current working processes
  • Experience of working and communicating in a multi-cultural and multi-vendor environment in a multi-discipline team in multiple country locations with sound knowledge in building effective working relationships.
  • Experience with coaching and mentoring and presenting or writing for C level audiences.
  • Multiyear working experience with Azure Portal
  • Cloud cost optimization recommendations are based on strong analytical skills and eye for detail.

Cloud Cost Advisor?

From a job description perspective, this sounds a bit like the vacancy, tending to be not fully objective. It tried to trim down. The Cloud Cost Advisor for our One Platform cloud services has an ability to manage, design and implement cost optimization for Microsoft Azure Cloud services. This role requires a diversity of cloud cost management competencies and Microsoft Azure knowledge with demonstrated skills in cloud cost management for Microsoft Azure.  Also critical to this role is the need for an acute understanding of business needs and good financial literacy (FinOps).

The Cloud Cost Manager role demands a focus on the (international) consumers of the One Platform Azure cloud services, to articulate the needs and to prioritize them for Cloud cost management solutions and roadmap.

The role is facilitating a change to become cloud cost aware culture and is driving cost reduction opportunities and acts as lead specialist for all cloud cost management areas such as; cloud cost strategy, governance and implementations and solutions to deliver against strategy and policies.

The role enables and manages tools to determine business outcomes for cloud investments and alignment of business priorities for cloud cost management through the delivery of forecast, progress, financial, consumption, status and cost reductions opportunity reports.

The role advises on and acts as portfolio manager for cloud services. The role has to advocate and collaborate with the ITS Global product and solution managers from global functions, globally managed services and member firms. The role also works with engineering teams with their budgetary forecast and technical solution to optimize cost.

The role leads and motivates activities such as; tagging, licensing, right buy and right sizing, shutdowns, waste removal and the management of systems supporting end-to-end cost management system that requires high quality data for billing.

Stap 1 - online assessment

Stap 2 - Het eerste gesprek

Na een positieve afronding van het assessment nodigen we je uit voor een eerste gesprek met een recruiter. In sommige gevallen is er ook direct al een collega van de betreffende afdeling bij het gesprek aanwezig.

Stap 3 - Vervolggesprek

Iedereen enthousiast? In veel gevallen volgt er dan een tweede kennismaking. Het tweede gesprek gaat dieper in op de functie en de inhoudelijke thema’s waar je mee te maken gaat krijgen. Een business case kan onderdeel zijn van het vervolggesprek. Soms vindt er nog een laatste gesprek plaats.

Stap 4 - Screening
