Junior Hybrid Data Specialist Advanced Analytics

Your challenges

  • Solve complex problems that require a blend of data science and big data engineering skills.
  • Implement and deploy machine learning models.
  • Design and implement large-scale data processing pipelines.
  • Translate business questions into data science and engineering tasks.
  • Ensure the reliability and efficiency of data transformations in both batch and real-time applications.
  • Communicate and translate technical solutions into valuable insights for clients across various sectors, including public sector, infrastructure, retail, etc.

This is what you bring

  • A recent Master’s degree in a STEM-related field (e.g. Computer Science, Physics), with a strong foundation in mathematics and statistics.
  • Experience in data analysis and programming with languages such as Python, SQL, Scala, or other languages.
  • A conceptual understanding of data engineering paradigms, networking, and data storage solutions
  • A familiarity with solutions such as Data Lakes and Data Warehouses, as well as big data tools and techniques such as Spark and Flink.
  • An analytical mindset capable of abstract thinking, coupled with curiosity and eagerness to learn at the intersection of data science and big data engineering.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team, with a knack for explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A self-starting attitude, able to handle multiple projects in parallel and adapt to changing client needs.

What will you do in this position?

 

As a Junior Hybrid Data Specialist, you will work within a team of passionate data scientists and data engineers committed to making an impact through data. You'll collaborate directly with clients to understand their needs, advising on and implementing innovative data and analytics solutions that combine the latest techniques in data science and data engineering. Your role involves both the analytical aspect of data science, such as generative AI, time-series analysis, natural language processing, and image recognition, and the technical challenges of big data engineering, including designing effective data processing pipelines and creating real-time applications. Our pragmatic approach means you'll use the best tools, platforms, and methods for each project, ensuring optimal outcomes for our diverse clients.
